cleanPAC
ACTIVATED CARBON DOSING

PAC Dosing is the process of introducing an amount of powdered activated carbon (PAC) to reduce the heavy metals, dioxins, and furans in the gas stream that sodium bicarbonate or lime cannot remove.

By accurately controlling the ‘dose rate’ of activated carbon you can:

  • Ensure there is enough PAC to provide effective treatment
  • Avoid unnecessary wastage of PAC

Our cleanPAC range has been developed to offer you a practical solution to PAC Dosing.

cleanPAC Rip & Tip

Small, compact ideal for tight footprints using 25kg sorbent bags. These systems are used when dosing small amounts (usually 0-5kgs/hour) although they will do more.  The hopper holds about four 25kg bags, so at 5kg/hr, this allows one 4-bag fill per shift.

We have multiple designs for this small system including:

  • Hood ventilation when filling
  • Laboratory door with gloves to limit dust exposure
  • Singular or double feeders with or without blowing fans for pneumatic conveyance
  • Small or large screw can be fitted using the modular design

CleanPAC Bulk Bag

Medium to large size footprint - taller in size dependant on which variation is chosen used when dosing 5kg-100kg/hour.

We have different designs and costs of the bulk bag hopper. These are:

  • Rubberised membrane top (bulk bag sits on the membrane)
  • Full pneumatically-operated lid, allowing full bulk bag emptying and hopper closure
  • Double/Single feeder, with or without blowing fans for pneumatic conveyance
  • Lifting frame with crane hoist

Our recent Projects

We were contracted to provide 2 small Ceramic filters suitable for a small volume but with a design maximum temperature of 600°C. In addition the filters will be handling a syngas which cannot be mixed with oxygen so an alternative to compressed air would need to be used for the ‘Cleanpulse’ cleaning of the 25 Ceramic element in each of these CPC78 filters. In addition dosing of small amounts of a re-agent is required so the client also opted for a ‘Cleandose’ 25kg bag skid. Find out more about Project CAD below.
