If you are seeking to remove dust from a filter bag, no matter its application, pulse jet filter cleaning is one of the most efficient processes there is. This is what makes pulse jet bag filters an excellent choice of equipment for a wide variety of air filtration applications.
Here at Filter Designs, we specialise in advising our customers and providing them with excellent pulse jet bag filters for their needs. But what makes a pulse jet bag filter so worth investing in? Here are just some of the reasons why pulse jet filters are so useful:
High Efficiency
The use of compressed air defines the pulse jet filter. Whereas a reverse air filter will apply a flow of air in the opposite direct using a fan, the pulse jet filter uses compressed air at around 4 bar to efficiently remove dust and oppose the air flow in a fraction of a second.
Numerous process applications
Just a few examples of the process applications reverse or pulse jet filters are designed to handle include biomass and waste, energy production, secondary aluminium furnaces, minerals processing, steel plants, clinical waste incineration, tyre pyrolysis, gasification.
No matter how specific your application, we can design the right pulse jet bag filter to suit your requirement. Significant experience in challenging and one-off processes puts Filter Designs in a unique position.
Can be used in a wide range of industries
The versatility of pulse jet bag filters allows them to be used in a wide variety of industries. Built to almost any size and shape to suit the available space, a jet pulse filter is adaptable for internal or external use, hot and cold processes temperatures and hot and cold ambient temperatures. Our air distribution section in the CleanPulse filter directs abrasive gas streams away from the filter media, creates a downdraught over the filter media which facilitates even easier pulse cleaning.
Pulse Jet Filters with Varying Media
Another benefit of pulse jet filtration technology is that it can be deployed with a variety of filter media including; high temperature ceramics, our branded CleanPulse filters, reverse jet filters, and cartridge filters. We were contracted to provide 2 small Ceramic filters suitable for a small volume but with a design maximum temperature of 600°C. In addition the filters will be handling a syngas which cannot be mixed with oxygen so an alternative to compressed air would need to be used for the ‘Cleanpulse’ cleaning of the 25 Ceramic element in each of these CPC78 filters. In addition dosing of small amounts of a re-agent is required so the client also opted for a ‘Cleandose’ 25kg bag skid. Find out more about Project CAD below.
